Customer photo review of Bullet Trap

This trap performed better than expected. I use a .25 caliber air gun that shoots at 900 fps. I am shooting approx. 25 yards away and have no issues. This thing is tough enough for the job. I added the cardboard section to the center to hold my targets for 2 reasons. The clip at the top does not keep paper targets from shifting in the wind and the bullets break apart when they hit the back of the trap and pieces come forward and tear the paper. So adding the cardboard piece reduces that effect. I would highly recommend it.

Bullet Trap

Works great

Bullet Trap

Solid product but room for improvement. There’s gaps where sides and back join allowing lead splatter to escape out the back of the trap. Additionally, lead splatter and pieces come out the front of the trap. I will end up sealing the back/side gaps with foam tape or caulking. No easy fix for front issue so I will set the trap in a shallow pan to catch what comes out the front. I’m shooting .22 cal lead pellets out of a springer air rifle. I won’t be trying .22 rimfire since I think the splatter would be worse.

Bullet Trap

Built like a tank and easy to set up. Awesome.

Bullet Trap

easy construction worked fine

Bullet Trap

This is a well built trap. I have at least 30 rounds of .22LR in it and the backstop has no dents. It's fairly well constructed, but there are some things users need to be aware of. First, after the initial shots, I noticed lead splatter was escaping from where the side panels bolt on to the backstop. Even with the bolts very secure, there I could still see some light along the interface. I disassembled the panels and used an old bicycle inner tube and cut it to run along the interface, and re-bolted each side panel. This fixed the side splatter, although there was still a little coming from the rear where the bottom plate mates with the back stop. Another thing to note is that the trap does not contain all the bullet splatter, as there was a fair amount of lead bits coming out the front and laying in front of the trap. I put an old towel down to catch all the splatter that was coming out the front to make clean-up a little easier. Lastly, I noticed a fair amount of fine, talcum powder like lead dust on the trap. So, if you're going to use this indoors, you'll want to keep this in mind and have some ventilation going on.

Bullet Trap

I purchased this bullet trap as I have a high fps pellet rifle that was too powerful for other pellet traps. It works great for catching the pellets, or I should say the flattened lead from the pellet rifle. I'm looking forward to trying my .22 in it as well a little later.

Bullet Trap

Great bullet trap, well built, easy to assemble. I have not tried it out yet, but that is coming in the days ahead.

Bullet Trap

Haven't used it yet ? but it appears to be of good qualirty and will be testing ir soon. Will send follow up review once it has been used.
